Magnolia Solar to Present at the Rodman and Renshaw Conference

ALBANY, NY and WOBURN, MA (Sep 8, 2014) -  Magnolia Solar Corporation (OTCQB: MGLT) ("Magnolia Solar") announced that Dr. Ashok Sood, Magnolia Solar's Chief Executive Officer, will present at the Rodman & Renshaw16th Annual Global Investment Conference to be held on Sept. 8-10 at the New York Palace Hotel in New York City.

Magnolia Solar has been developing its technologies over the last four years, and Dr. Sood intends to discuss Magnolia Solar's accomplishments to date in development of high efficiency flexible solar cells for defense and commercial applications. He also intends to discuss Magnolia Solar's nanostructure based antireflection technology that has applications in a variety of industries and highlight that the company has filed 15 patent applications to protect its innovative technologies, which are at different stages of evaluation by the US patent office.

Magnolia Solar's nanostructure based antireflection coating technology reduces the sunlight refection loss on the solar panel when applied to the front glass. Magnolia has tested the performance of its nanostructured antireflection coating by integrating the antireflection coated film on the front glass of a silicon solar panel. The results show that Magnolia's thin film enhances the annual power output of the solar panel from 6% to 12% depending on the geographic location and panel tilt angle.

Dr. Sood's presentation will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 3:45 PM EDT. Dr. Sood's presentation will be available via webcast by accessing A replay will also be available for 90 days following the live presentation.

About Magnolia Solar Corporation:

Based Based in Woburn, MA and Albany, NY, Magnolia Solar was founded in 2008 to develop and commercialize revolutionary flexible thin-film solar cell technologies that employ nanostructured materials and designs. Both higher current and higher voltage outputs are expected from thin-film solar cells that combine Magnolia's exclusive material structures with advanced optical coatings. Magnolia's patent pending technology has the ability to capture a larger part of the solar spectrum to enable high efficiency solar cells, and incorporates a unique nanostructure-based antireflection coating technology to further increase solar cell efficiency, thereby reducing the cost per watt. The company is targeting a variety of civilian and defense applications for its photovoltaic solar cells. Magnolia's solar cell technology can be used to generate power for existing electrical grids, and is particularly well-suited for distributed and portable power generation applications.
